Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.

Use the Mind to Fight Back Against Anxiety

June 19, 2012 - Mental Mind Health - ,

Anxiety and anxiety attacks are becoming a more prevalent problem in todayʼs fast paced society. In this two-part article, I will review some of the symptoms of anxiety and anxiety attacks, its little known effects and how to help curb this tendency if it applies to you or someone you know.

Anxiety can manifest itself in all different sorts of ways. The most common ways it manifests itself is through emotional and physical means. The emotional symptoms of anxiety can be quite obvious to some and remain elusive to others. Those who exercise self-awareness and feeling identification, recognize its existence. You may find yourself feeling stressed, not concentrating, feeling like you are always in a rush, tense, or heightened fears; you may find yourself increasingly impatient and unable to cope with the things that you used to manage quite well.

Many people donʼt realize that anxiety can also manifest itself physically. Remember, the brain is connected to every other part of your body! Common physical symptoms of anxiety are restlessness, sleeplessness, headaches, tightness in your chest, labored breathing, sweating, an increased heart-rate and even a tingling skin sensation or numbness. When anxiety manifests itself in heightened intensity, it is often called an anxiety (or panic) attack.
